1. My guilty pleasure TV show is A&E Hoarders. It kinda grosses me out, but also reminds me of my room at this current point.
2. I love Children. I want children more than anything. But you know it will come whenever they come. Trivial life = God's plan.
3. I'm really 33, but I can pass for 26 easy. Alright maybe 27. And I'm not kidding. I really enjoy having a baby face, it keeps me young at heart.
4. My favorite foods are Chicken, 5 way grilled cheese and corn chowder, and barbecued chicken pizza.
5. I tell everyone I was born in Philly, but I really only lived there from about 3 years until age 11. I also tell everyone that I am 1/4 African descent because my mother was born in Eritrea.
6. I eat fast food at least 3 times a week. I can't get enough of it. I also remember places and vacations by the food I ate.
7. I am a closet Rap and hip hop fan. Lil wayne, Eminem, Jay-z, etc..... I live for beats. Love the sound!
8. It really bugs me when people use lots. of. periods. in. a. sentence. It takes me forever to read those sentences. Plus, I'm not entirely convinced they know that it's not grammatically correct. Same goes for the use of the word literally. Oh, and I HATE it when people say things are retarded or gay. Must be the teacher in me.
9. I like to talk things out to the extent of things. Such as my divorce. I need to express my feelings and everything that I keep bottled up inside just tears me to threads. Case in Point = The Detailed Laughter of My Life. My coping mechanism.
10. Have I talked about how much I love my jobs? I LOVE my jobs. I may change my mind tomorrow, but at this point, I don't want to complain about what I don't have . Lots of people aren't okay with that decision, but I am. I am so glad that I get to spend my days loving anywhere from 20-30 people who need support and encouragement so badly. Of course I feel guilty that I have to work at a winery and that I get a great discount on wine, but, I'm doing a good thing, right?
11. I have lots of opinions about things. Surprise, I know. But, when I want to tell my opinions, I keep it to myself. Kind of like politics. There Why can't everyone just get along?

Alge-i don't know-ometry

Middle School Math. The most difficult thing that I don't ever remembering how to do. I'm sure that there are plenty of other people that know how to do this, (my buddy Johnny Saleman) however I was never able to get the hang of it. It is true that I need these math skills in my everyday life, I just wish that I knew ore about trigonometry and the tougher Algebra standards. The first day that I started teaching in Hayward, I was thrown into an algebra readiness class with 7th grade students. The everyday teacher left me notes asking me to introduce reciprocals and factoring binomials and trinomials including using protection while factoring. No notes, no examples for me to be guided on, nothing to go by but my extremely positive strong middle school math memory. It was a very tough day! I just remember the students laughing and joking about how the teacher wanted me to instruct them about Protection. No joke....... He told me in the notes that if I used humor about protection then the students would remember how to use the FOIL method; which is pertinent to binomials. The day ended with 6th period refusing to calm down. I don't think that I was or will ever be cut out to teach middle school math or at a secondary level.

Wine Days
I enjoy my new Venture. Working in a wine bar, part time to better service my knowledge of the overall Wine environment in the Tri valley. There are a few things that I need to overcome while taking upon this challenge. First and foremost, I need to learn how to control my right hand. For many of you that know me, I have had to deal with a severe tremor in my right hand since the age of thirteen when I was accidentally shot in the head. It has been a very tumultuous thing that I've had to deal with ever since then. I am very fortunate that the only visual thing that has come from my accident is my shaky right hand. However, I am always thinking in the back of my head what are people saying behind my back whe they see that thing constantly tremor. Which brings me back to my current venture in the Wine Bar. It is hard to control my hand while serving two or more plates (depending on the weight) while also serving drinks. I really love the customer service side of working at the wine bar. It is great to push myself to new levels and see what I can do even thh I am not comfortable. Wine and the taste is not for everyone, however when we pair them with delectable foods, it is hard not to try it out and see what the outcome is. I look forward to pushing myself to new heights to see if I can attain the goal of working at the wine bar while giving the customer my full and undivided attention. Please come visit me out at the winery, it will be great to see supportive friends that I can show my new workplace off to.
