Companions

Now you will feel no rain
For each of you will be
 shelter to the other.
Now you will feel no cold
For each of you will
feel warmth to the other.
Now you will feel no loneliness
For each of you will be
companions to the other.
Now you are two persons
But there is only one life
between  you two.

Lit

Never let ever
Never let ever happen again
The fall needs no remembrance
of its past due.

Have you seen this new light
The light of cheer
How can you see through me
I risk to lose
when the light can not be canvassed
Why should we waist time

Fallen but yet revived
When I see you again
Will it be you
sometimes I risk to lose....
more than a thought, more than a dream

Be My Everything

God in my living
There in my breathing
God in my waking
God in my sleeping
God in my resting
There in my working
God in my thinking
God in my speaking
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything
Be my everything

God in my hoping
There in my dreaming
God in my watching
God in my waiting
God in my laughing
There in my weeping
God in my hurting
God in my healing
Christ in me
Christ in me
Christ in me the hope of glory
You are everything

Artsy

I wish there was a website labeled Artsy. I'm sure there is something out there with the same idea as Etsy, however; I wish devoted to art in all as a gallery. Speaking of showcasing art I enjoy using Instagram on my IPhone. If you guys haven't checked it out its a great app for filtering pictures and then making them look professional. (For all of us that can't make our photoshop pictures look professional) Art is becoming a great way for me to hide away when I need solace. It is a chance to explore a side of me that was never tapped before. Coming up on the holidays I have seen a way to curb my emotions a bit by working it out on canvas. A Brighter Day is coming. Through art, through companionship, through perserverance..... A Brighter Day is coming.

In Transition

Feels so good to paint again.
It's like starting all over.
I can't wait to do more.
Very addicting.

Smitten.

It's 1:31 in the am and I am full of butterflies. Life is good. I'm happy most days. My relationships are great. Meeting new people that have made me smitten all over again. My art as feeble as it comes, is making me take a second look as to where it might be headed. What first started out as a bucket to drown my tears in, I feel that it has matured into something new and creative. I was reminded this last week that I have a wonderful name. Jonathan. Gift of God. I stopped having people call me that because Jon just seemed so much easier. So these butterflies are making my life entirely too positive. I have good days and bad days. But the potential to make these good days great are very positive. Those speed bumps come along and they really sting at times. But in my life, I feel there is always something around the corner. I'm smitten at the possibilities in life. As I try to keep my eyes open at this hour, I think to myself of what a great life I have. My core. Friends, family, jobs.... they keep me going, and its just those opportunities that make me who I am today. Because of You.

Man that canvas is large.

I'm sure it will look good in your house Steve.
By the way Nick...
take a break from snowboarding and
traveling the world
and come pick up your painting.
They look good together next to each other, don't they?

A New Day

I believe everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so you can appreciate them when they go right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.

Art is exciting.

I like to sit in my sister's living room and stare at a painting that she completed quite a while ago. It has many layers, many coats of paint and a special tear from the top layer of the bland green oil all of the way down to the base oil red. I think that I have looked at that painting more than and other one she has ever done. I study the little detail on the vast 50" by 60" canvas to learn as much as I can. I was so pumped tonight when trying out this linseed oil and turquoise oil mixture last night and as I was the oil separate from the paint, I noticed a very small detail of the turquoise paint crimping up as it looked like mini folds in the brain. I was so happy that I could create that texture on one of my paintings. I was pretty impressed also. Just another check on the "Small things that make me inspired for my new trek in life" list. And life goes on....... Have a Great Sunday everyone!!!!

Attempts at Art and Poetry

In my mind the idea of losing is prevalent.
Relations, thoughts, opportunities come often,
yet swiftly get taken away by irreplaceable loss.

Daily practice is recurring
rehabbing through art is strengthening
while continuing to lose the names, titles and places
in which I wish I could still be at.
None of these will bring disaster.
But it can make it hard for the necessity of Growth.

I've lost family, a connection, a lifetime.
 We Lose something every day.
With loss comes growth and a chance for redemption.
Growth is funny. It opens doors for feeble hearts
to shine like never before.

Tears are a necessity

Sleep
Sleep tonight
And may your dreams
Be realized
If the thundercloud
Passes rain
So let it rain
Let it rain
Rain on him

When Ideas Flow

I was reminded tonight how some of my best ideas come when I least expect it. Why is that? Often I put in long hard days working away at my day job and at the end of that day, my ideas flow onto a canvas. The next morning I look at the work and just can’t see that any progress has been made sometimes. It's as if I worked for hours, went to sleep, then began to take steps backward only to start all over. Its during these times that every so often I’ll think about giving up, stop painting, and do something else. Yesterday I purchased 6 new canvas'
(Aaron Bros. had a great sale).

So again I ask, why is that? I believe my mind, although spongelike and amazing, is still somewhat limited. My brain constantly absorbs things from the outside through our senses, combining with our own preferred judgments from the inside to create a thought or idea.  When my mind rests, for example during sleepytime, physical activities (softball), or just plain old fun, then it opens up to a larger universe - my mind amazes me sometimes. It is here that I surprise myself by conjuring new ideas that can be totally new.

Small Steps...

The next time you take a step,
where will you go?
To another city,
to another relationship,
to another level?
Will you contemplate who has been there before,
or will you be grateful just to be there?
Searching for a place where the accomplishment
makes the heart grow ever so fondly.
Take a step back now to recall
the needed steps you take now so small,
Small steps of.....
Who?
Where?
When?

Eloyse inspired

Still I'm staying on to figure out my mid life crisis
I hit an iceberg in my life
You know I'm still afloat
You lose your balance, lose your wife
In the queue for the lifeboat

You got to put the women and children first
But you've got an unquenchable thirst

Rejuvenation

Life has been better these days.
The last month has been a lot of fun.
Life is what you make of it,
I feel I'm doing my best to
be happy with the cards that
are dealt to me.
Now if only my allergies
would go away.

I have a painting for you.

Paul Mitchell Salon.
I have a painting for you.
It has purple, gray/silver, and black oil paints.
It is really beautiful.
One of my favorites by far.
I hope that you enjoy it.
The creativity is pushing my boundaries to the limit.
Thank you for inspiring me to do new things.
It's all about the fashion, ya know.
And vertical lines, right?
